How to use the Currency Formatter
- Enter an amount.
- Choose the currency and a language/region style.
- Copy the format you need.
What does this tool do?
Currency formatting varies: the symbol may go before or after the number, decimals may use a comma, and negatives may be shown in brackets in accounting. €1.234,56 in Germany is €1,234.56 in Ireland.
The formatter uses your browser's built-in Unicode CLDR data — the same rules apps and operating systems use.
Why use it?
- 39 currencies, 11 locales.
- Accounting and compact styles.
- Standards-based formatting.
