How to use the Portfolio Website Builder

  1. Under Page, choose a starter for your field — developer, designer, freelancer, photographer, marketer, student, agency or professional — then make it yours under Theme with colours, fonts, buttons, cards and animation.
  2. Click any section on the page to edit it on the left, double-click text to change it in place, drag the ⋮⋮ handle to reorder and drag a section’s bottom edge to adjust its spacing. Add projects, case studies, galleries, services, testimonials and more from Add.
  3. Check desktop, tablet and phone layouts, then press Publish: download the website as a ZIP and drop it on Netlify, GitHub Pages, Vercel or any host.

What does this tool do?

The editor shows your real website at true desktop, tablet and phone widths while you work, so what you see is exactly what visitors get. Seventeen section types — hero, about, stats, skills, experience, projects, case studies, gallery, services and pricing, clients, education, certifications, testimonials, blog, call to action, contact and social links — each come with several layouts and per-section backgrounds, widths, columns and spacing.

The download is a fast, static site: one HTML file with inline CSS, a few lines of JavaScript for animations and the gallery lightbox, and your images optimised to WebP. There is no framework, tracking or lock-in. Your project autosaves in this browser and uploaded images stay on your device in local storage until you export.

Why use it?

  • 8 templates for different careers, 12 themes.
  • Drag-and-drop canvas with inline editing.
  • True desktop, tablet and phone preview.
  • Projects, case studies and image uploads.
  • Static download — free to host anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

How do I put my portfolio online?

Press Publish and download the website (.zip). Unzip it and drag the folder onto Netlify Drop for an instant free link, or upload the files to GitHub Pages, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages or any web host. You can connect your own domain on all of them.

Will the contact form work?

Yes. Paste a free form endpoint from a service such as Formspree under Page → Contact form and messages arrive in your inbox. Without one, the form opens the visitor’s email app addressed to you.

Where are my images stored?

Uploads are resized and kept in your browser’s local storage on this device — nothing is uploaded to us. They are bundled into the ZIP or single HTML file when you export. Save a project backup to move your work to another computer.

Can I edit the website after downloading it?

Keep editing here — your project autosaves — and download again whenever you change something. Because the export is plain HTML and CSS, a developer can also edit the files directly.

Is it fast and good for SEO?

The site is static with no framework, so it loads quickly. Set the page title, description and favicon under Page; the export includes proper meta and social sharing tags, semantic headings and image alt text.
