How to use the Hex Viewer
- Choose a file — it is read locally.
- Page through the hex dump, or change bytes per row.
- Search for text or a hex sequence like 504b0304.
What does this tool do?
A hex viewer shows the raw bytes behind a file: useful for checking a file's real type, debugging binary formats, spotting hidden data or confirming encodings. The detected type comes from the file's signature (magic number), not its extension. Files up to 64 MB are loaded.
The file never leaves your device.
Why use it?
- Magic-number detection.
- Text and hex search.
- No upload.
Privacy
Your files are processed entirely in your browser using built-in web technologies. They are not uploaded to our servers, and closing the page clears them from memory. There's no account to create and nothing to install.
