How to use the Image Noise Reduction
- Choose a noisy photo.
- Pick light or strong filtering and set the strength.
- Drag the split slider to compare, then download.
What does this tool do?
Digital noise appears when a camera boosts a weak signal — night shots, indoor photos and old scans. A median filter replaces each pixel with the middle value of its neighbours, which removes isolated specks while keeping edges much crisper than a blur does.
Use the strength slider to blend the result with the original: lower values keep texture, higher values give a smoother image. Your images are processed on your own device and never uploaded.
Why use it?
- Edge-preserving filter.
- Split before/after view.
- Adjustable strength.
Accuracy and limits
- Heavy filtering softens fine detail such as hair and fabric. Strong AI denoisers can do better on very noisy images.
