How to use the Markdown Editor
- Write in the editor, or use the toolbar for bold, headings, links and lists.
- Watch the preview update as you type.
- Save as .md or .html, or copy the HTML.
What does this tool do?
Markdown is a simple way to format text with symbols — # for headings, ** for bold, - for lists — used in README files, documentation, notes and many apps.
The editor supports GitHub-flavoured Markdown, including tables and fenced code blocks. Raw HTML in your Markdown is sanitised in the preview, so nothing unsafe runs.
Why use it?
- Toolbar for common formatting.
- Split, write and preview views.
- Save as .md or .html.
