“Mixed scripts” flags names that combine Latin with Cyrillic or Greek letters — a common trick in look-alike phishing domains.

Everything you type is processed in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers or stored by us.

How to use the Punycode Converter (IDN)

  1. Paste domains or URLs, one per line, in either form.
  2. Read the Unicode and ASCII versions side by side.
  3. Copy the form you need.

What does this tool do?

Domains with accents or non-Latin scripts are stored in DNS as Punycode, an ASCII encoding that starts with xn--. You need the ASCII form for DNS records, SSL certificates and some server configs. The tool also flags names mixing Latin with Cyrillic or Greek letters — a common phishing trick.

Everything runs in your browser — nothing you paste is uploaded.

Why use it?

  • Bulk conversion.
  • Accepts full URLs.
  • Look-alike warning.
