How to use the UTM Link Builder
- Enter the page URL.
- Fill in source, medium and campaign.
- Optionally add term and content.
- Copy the tracking link.
What does this tool do?
UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign…) tell analytics tools where a visit came from. Google Analytics 4 uses them to fill its traffic acquisition reports.
Why use it?
- Measure newsletters, ads and social posts.
- Consistent naming avoids split reports.
- Works with any analytics tool.
Example
Newsletter link: ?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=spring_sale. In analytics this appears as newsletter / email under the spring_sale campaign.

Frequently asked questions
Should I tag internal links?
No. UTM tags on links between your own pages start a new session and overwrite the real source, which corrupts your data.
