How to use the Mole Calculator
- Choose the conversion.
- Type the formula so the molar mass can be calculated.
- Enter the amount and read the result.
What does this tool do?
A mole is a fixed number of particles — 6.022 × 10²³, Avogadro's constant. Converting grams to moles means dividing by the molar mass: 36 g of water is 36 ÷ 18.015 ≈ 2 mol.
The molar mass is worked out from the formula you type, so there's nothing to look up.
Why use it?
- Molar mass calculated for you.
- Particle counts included.
- Three conversions.
The formula
n = m ÷ M
N = n × Nₐ
